Persephone Gilmore comes from a life of privilege. The oldest daughter of media mogul Marshall Gilmore, she grew up wanting for nothing. But her father taught her more than just how to make billions, and even though she could sit by the pool and eat bon bons every day for the rest of her life, she chooses to work as an ER nurse and live on her own away from the family estate and her father's security.

Then one night, those choices come back to haunt her.

Nick Hanson hasn't been truly happy since he left the FBI. Life as a hired gun for wealthy clients has paid well and made him very much in demand, but it isn't the same as the life he used to have. When Marshall Gilmore wants to hire him to rescue his daughter after she's taken hostage by a terrorist group, he agrees, but to save her, he'll have to go undercover and become one of them. It's dangerous work, but he knows what to expect and he's never been one to turn down a challenge.

What starts out as just another case turns into something much more, and Nick finds out just how much he's willing to do to save Persephone.

AUTHOR BIOS:

K.M. Scott writes contemporary romance stories of sexy, intense, and unforgettable love. A New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, she's been in love with romance since reading her first romance novel in junior high (she was a very curious girl!). Under her Gabrielle Bisset name, she write erotic paranormal and historical romance. She lives in Pennsylvania with a herd of animals and when she's not writing can be found reading or feeding her TV addiction.

Anina Collins has always loved a good mystery. From Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective Sherlock Holmes to Dan Brown's intrepid Professor Robert Langdon, she's spent some of her favorite reading times with mystery novels. When she's not writing her favorite mystery couple, she can be found watching entirely too much Supernatural and dreaming about the beach.

My Review:
3.5 Stars
Thank you for the opportunity to read this collaborative book by K.M. Scott and Anina Collins. I was granted an ARC for an honest review and I loved the escape.
Persephone has grown up under the guard of her famous, protective father and his wealth, but now she is making it on her own working as a nurse and trying to be normal. That all changes when she is blindfolded, bound, and taken to a dark place where only nightmares exist. She wakes up realizing she may never see her father again and knows that her time is short if she doesn't find a way to escape her captors.
Nick works alone. He needs his space to get into the job and immerse himself in the group. One wrong move or slip up and all is lost. Nick must gain her trust to help set her free. How will he do that when he is one of them?
This book takes you to the end of your seat and drops you more than once leaving you begging for mercy. A great ride of a read!!
