Breathe. Just breathe....that's what I had to keep telling myself while reading Desires of the Flesh by Mr. S. L. Carpenter. I forgot to about every third or fourth page from the sheer palatable hunger and intensity of Pilan's quest to fulfill his mission. This book is like no other, I promise you.

The story follows a Dark Lord, from another place and time who is beckoned by women to fulfill their needs and desires. He meets with each one in both the physical and spiritual form with the soul purpose of giving them what they intrinsically need. Whether it be comfort, security, lust, confidence, strength, or protection, Pilan is there for them.

I will say this book ends with you wanting more, so much more that I actually screamed out when I read the last page. Hats of to Mr. Carpenter for such a unique read! I cannot wait to dig in to Dark Lord 2!
