Ms. Shayla Black has once again reached inside my chest and
shaken my heart with this emotional story featuring a womanizing arrogant alpha
named Griffin and a strong, passionate single-mom named Britta. Griffin carries
a humiliating secret that has prevented him from ever truly loving anyone,
until Britta. Britta knows that Griffin is guarded and the man she should
avoid, like that extra helping of chocolate cheesecake. The thing is, she
cannot help herself. He is her first love and unknown to him, the father of her
child.
Britta has tried to protect her son and her own heart by
finding a man who can give her security and stability. She is tired of being
alone and raising her son on her own. Everything seems to be going as planned
for Britta until Griffin finds out about her son. Griffin and Britta must now find
away to do what’s best for their son and mend their shattered relationship.
