This is a dark, torturous, exotic read with so many deep elements that I found myself rereading just to grasp the intensity of what each character was facing. Eve and Dante are the light and dark versions of humanity. Both represent what good and evil lies within each of us at any given moment. Eve finds herself propelled back into the dark while holding fast to what little light she has left. How far is she willing to go? Will Dante ever reveal his true heart or will it remain buried under the pain of his innocence? This is not a book for the faint of heart. It is a committed read that sucks you in and drops you into a war zone where only the brave will survive.
Read the first book in the Santiago Trilogy First, though. Can't wait for the third one!!
