Jenna and Grant come from completely different backgrounds and yet they have this amazing attraction towards one another that is undeniable. Jenna owns a bakery and Grant is wealthy lawyer. They have secrets in their pasts that connect them to one another that are soon to be revealed.  Will the lies destroy their friendship? Who can Jenna trust? Will Grant be able to protect what’s his or will he lose everything?

I truly enjoyed the elements of surprise in this book and Lyz Kelley does an outstanding job of developing characters with real life threads. The story weaves in and out with elements of love, family, vengeance, friendship, and healing. I am anxious to read more in this series as I enjoyed the characters so much.

Why would I want to read the Elkridge Series?  Each book in the Elkridge series is a piece to a puzzle—a suspenseful mystery involving the murder of a small-town sheriff. You get six contemporary romance books to figure out the mystery and a bunch of happy ever after (HEA) endings. When you think about the word “Ruckus” you automatically think that you’re in for a storm, a truckload of trouble. Well that’s what Dean ‘Ruckus’ Cole creates for most people around him. Except for me, Rosie LeBlanc. All I see is my prince charming. The big issue was he was kissing my sister when I realized it.  I was the little sister, who was babied by everyone and who, like a rose had her petals falling one by one as she slowly withered away. But that didn’t mean I didn’t crave him. or that I didn’t want my happily-ever after.  I needed Dean ‘Ruckus’ Cole more than I needed to breathe, or so I thought.
